Importing your members

Bring an existing roster over from a spreadsheet, and what happens to their cards.

Bring an existing roster over from a spreadsheet. Import runs a dry run first, so you see what will be created before anything is.

Prepare the file

Export a CSV from whatever you use today. Gymisphere reads these columns:

• first_name and last_name — required
• email — used for the member portal and anything they need to sign
• belt_rank and stripes
• phone, date_of_birth, status

Run the import

1. Go to Import and choose your file.
2. Review the dry run: every row it could read, and every row it couldn't, with the reason.
3. Fix anything that looks wrong in the spreadsheet and try again — nothing has been saved yet.
4. Run the import for real.

What about their saved cards?

Card details live with your payment processor, not in your old software. If you already take payments through Stripe and connect that same Stripe account, the cards your members have saved keep working. Otherwise members add a card once, through a link you send them.
