Taking payments
Gymisphere Payments, your own Stripe account, or Square — and what each costs.
Gymisphere never holds your money. Payments go to your own account with Stripe or Square, and you choose which.
Three ways to take cards
- Gymisphere Payments — the quickest. Set up inside the app, with your details verified by Stripe. No account to create elsewhere.
- Your own Stripe account — connect an account you already use, or make a new one. The dashboard, the payouts and any cards your members already saved stay yours.
- Square— connect your Square account if that's where your front desk already takes payments.
Connect one
- Go to Billing → Settings.
- Choose Gymisphere Payments and follow the steps, or connect your own Stripe or Square account.
- Come back when the provider says charges are enabled. Gymisphere shows the status next to each option.
What it costs
Gymisphere adds 1% to each member payment. Your processor charges its own fee on top — roughly 2.9% + 30¢ for an online card payment with either Stripe or Square. Those fees are theirs, not ours, and the remainder lands in your account.
You can't disconnect a provider while memberships are still billing through it — those members would keep being charged with nothing recording it. Cancel or move them first.
